7/9 Standing Firm

2 Cor 1:24 …it is by faith you stand firm.

There is incredible and formidable power in your faith. You cannot lose. This provides everything you need now and forever. Everything hinges on this and with it eternal life. You are very secure in it. You are untouchable to the enemy of your soul.

You will overcome this life and every difficulty. You will see your family and the souls of others rescued from death. You will destroy the enemy. You will see him suffer for all he has done. You will reign with your King in eternity. You will be an overcomer and victor and this all due to your faith in Jesus. Party now!

6/29 Faith, Hope and love

1 Cor 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

This is the vehicle, driver and direction: faith, love and hope. Faith is what moves us, hope keeps you going and the objective is love. These are what make it happen for you. This changes the world and saves you in Christ.

Faith is what puts you in this position. Trusting Jesus puts you in the vehicle and keeps you going. Without continuous faith you are going know where.

Hope is the motivator. It hurls you over the obstacles. It pushes through to the prize.

Love is the destination. This is the reason for the vehicle and driver. It is your purpose to love. Love him and love them. Salvation is at your door step.

6/28 You Shall See

1 Cor 13:12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

The reflection described was crude to today’s standards. It was functional but not a perfect image. You see in part now. It is crude and distorted. This requires great faith many times to believe without seeing clearly.

But, soon, it will not be like an ancient mirror. It will be absolutely clear. You will know him as never before. There will be no need for the kind of faith required today. What is true will be completely apparent. This reality is yours by faith and soon you will realize this in its fullest. You will see him face-to-face. Rejoice at your departure or his coming, whatever may come first.

6/15 He is Speaking to You

Rom 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim:

The word is near you. It is actually stated more powerfully in the Greek. It is like saying that the word the Lord is speaking to you is near you. These are not just words from the Bible written 1,000s of years ago but the “now” present word of God from his mouth to your ear.

It is in your mouth and in your heart. It is a “now” word from him. This is a “now” close relationship as you continue in his love. This is the Spirit of God working in you and through you. It is alive and working moment by moment as you live in love. This love is in you and flowing through you.

What is he speaking? It is “trust me.” “I love you.” “Love them as I loved you.” “Remember that I am near.” These words and more reside in you to encourage you. They guide you to love and live and wait for the gift of eternal life that he has promise.

He says “I am coming soon!”

5/6 Overcomers

1 John 2:13 …you have overcome the evil one.

You have gotten the better of and have beaten the adversary. This is by definition what a Christian does. One who is saved will always and forever win against the devil. Even if down they get back up and they never lose.

This is true for two reason. As a believer you remain in the faith. You protect your faith to its culmination, the salvation of your soul. Second, the Lord will protect you. He promises to protect those in the faith. You are a victor.

Yes, the adversary is formidable. There are many trials to go through and the enemy is there to steal your faith but through faith and the power of God you persevere. You have overcome your enemy.

Remain in the faith knowing you have overcome the enemy. Your reward is sure. Thank him for his protection.

5/1 His Divine Power

2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Because of God’s goodness he has given, you in faith, everything you need to live His way. His way is love. You in faith have what you need to live a supernatural life.

You trust him so much that you will expend yourself for this corrupt and dying world. You have no promise of reward this side of Heaven but you invest in others who will deride and slander. You can do it because he has given his divine power to you. It is an infinite resource to live in the natural doing the extraordinary.

Contemplate this. Take off the shackles of doubt. What can’t you do? Refuse to live under the bondage of people, culture, family, and your own self-imposed prison. Dream big, be bold, try new things and expect great things.

4/29 Make you Strong

1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

After the pain and confusion, he will make you strong and he will restore you. This is quite a promise to clutch onto in your time of trial and suffering. It can seem so dark and hopeless. It may even appear to be pointless many times. It is hard to see how you or anyone else could possibly benefit from your pain. “What is the point?” you may think.

For those of faith, God will establish you as stronger and more faith filled after the challenge. You will see more clearly, you’ll be more humble, and love and trust Jesus even more. This causes intimacy with Christ and a deeper longing for Heaven. For those of spurious faith, it will illuminate them from the herd. This is how your faith is proven. Hold on, do not give into despair and hopelessness. Grab on, trust him and he will establish you as truly a child God.
