7/4 Fully to the Work

1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Since you only work here and eternity is your sure promise. Work! You keep up the good work. Keep innovating. Keep praying and keep loving.

Your compassion fired by the Spirit of God moves you. You only see eternity and know you have nothing to lose. You are a winner. Push hard until he calls you home. This love is the power to awaken those who are called to eternity. Go find them and lead them home.

7/3 Dinner is Waiting

1 Cor 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

This will be fun to work backward. There is no law so sin has no power. As a result death has no sting.

For those outside Christ, all they get is this life. Death is scary. They have to get all they can now because an unwelcome guest is near their door. They fear it. But you welcome this deliverance to the better; the gift.

Grace freed us from law and now we love instead with the promise of eternal life. Death is deliverance from the mortal to the immortal. Death is a gateway to a mind blowing eternal ecstasy.

Since this is your destiny, put up and put out. Give it away and live out loud for him. This is where you work, it isn’t your home. Do your work because quitting time is coming and dinners is waiting.

7/2 Victory

1 Cor 15:54-55When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?     Where, O death, is your sting?”

This fills life with life. You will not go down in defeat. No matter what happens in this life; the perceived victory or defeat, you end as a victor. Life is full of highs and lows, triumphs and losses but you in faith you will cross a finish line as one who completed the race. You retained your faith for salvation.

Do you see the edge you have? Keeping in mind the prize, you press on. Life is full now. This gives meaning to life and puts pain in its place. That pain, this life is temporal and will not be remembered but the victory leads to eternal glory. You have a lot to look forward to, and life has no lasting value aside from the future victory. Death is no longer defeat but a doorway to Heaven; your prize awaits you. Get happy!

7/1 Risen

1 Cor 15:42-44 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

The point of religion and yours in particular is that it speaks about the afterlife. The security is derived from the one you trust. You trust in Jesus and the resurrection.

Your confidence is in him. He promises to raise you from the dead to eternal life. He has done it for himself and will do this for you. This is the end game. You trust him for eternal life. This is your hope and he is your confidence.

Continue to praise him and remember the prize.

6/30 Building

1 Cor 14:12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.

You are building the church when in the Spirit. You engage to encourage and direct those around you. You are making a great difference. This is not expendable.

You do this daily. You do it for all your co-workers. They need this from you; the ear to listen, your mouth to lift up and your hands to help. Thank God for you in the church. You have given and received. Heaven rejoices at your work. People remember what you have done and said and will truly be eternally grateful as their faith perceivers to salvation.

6/29 Faith, Hope and love

1 Cor 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

This is the vehicle, driver and direction: faith, love and hope. Faith is what moves us, hope keeps you going and the objective is love. These are what make it happen for you. This changes the world and saves you in Christ.

Faith is what puts you in this position. Trusting Jesus puts you in the vehicle and keeps you going. Without continuous faith you are going know where.

Hope is the motivator. It hurls you over the obstacles. It pushes through to the prize.

Love is the destination. This is the reason for the vehicle and driver. It is your purpose to love. Love him and love them. Salvation is at your door step.

6/28 You Shall See

1 Cor 13:12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

The reflection described was crude to today’s standards. It was functional but not a perfect image. You see in part now. It is crude and distorted. This requires great faith many times to believe without seeing clearly.

But, soon, it will not be like an ancient mirror. It will be absolutely clear. You will know him as never before. There will be no need for the kind of faith required today. What is true will be completely apparent. This reality is yours by faith and soon you will realize this in its fullest. You will see him face-to-face. Rejoice at your departure or his coming, whatever may come first.
