11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Here is the Church schematic:
There is a structure in the church. This is to be appreciated, recognized and honored. Christ has established this order.
The leadership structure is established for a purpose. The leaders lead, instruct and model for the sake of the church.
The church is to be equipped for good works. This is for the maturing of the individual and developing of unity over the knowledge of Jesus. This unity is centered over honoring and obeying Jesus.
Some of you will read and acknowledge this as true but wander off continuing in your former path.
Some resist leadership or ignore them, they are too smart to yield. They are just better and feel unrecognized for their intellect and spirituality superiority.
Some are lazy, resistant to work.
Some do not like good works and prefer being intellectual.
Some feel they should be the teacher without the discipline process.
Some resist unity in the faith and the knowledge of Christ.
All-in-all these are simply resisting Jesus; too smart, too intellectual, already perfected, lazy, or unrecognized as a Great One!
So you have trainers and those being trained. I’ve seen this played out in the gym. The benefits are tremendous and the unity is amazing.
You are being trained in the Spiritual Art of Active Love and this develops maturity and through this unity.
Although it can be natural to resist such training, in this case it is supernatural. It is godly to submit to it and enjoying the benefits: Maturity and unity.
Focus on your training, quit whining, quit looking at others and do not resist Christ.
